Landstar System, a leading technology-enabled and asset-light provider of integrated freight transportation solutions, announced the appointment of Barr Blanton and Melanie Housey Hart to its Board of Directors, adding two accomplished executives with deep expertise in technology, strategy, and financial management.
Blanton, 42, currently serves as chief executive officer and board member of Crosslake Technologies, a provider of technology diligence and advisory services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies. He previously spent over a decade at McKinsey & Company, where he served as managing partner of the Charlotte office, specializing in transformation and private equity practices. In that role, he advised Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms on corporate strategy and business innovation. Blanton also serves on the board of MOXFIVE, a cybersecurity company focused on incident response and forensics. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Duke University.
Hart, 52, brings more than two decades of leadership experience in financial management, governance, and strategic execution. She is senior vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer at Pool Corporation, the world’s largest wholesale distributor of swimming pool and outdoor living products. Before joining Pool Corporation in 2006, she spent 12 years with Ernst & Young in the Assurance and Advisory Services group. Hart, a Certified Public Accountant and NACD Directorship Certified, previously served on the board of Beacon Roofing Supply. She earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of New Orleans and completed the General Management Program at The Wharton School.
