Lanvin Group announced that Maison Lanvin, the historic Parisian couture house, has appointed Barbara Werschine as Chief Executive Officer.
Werschine brings more than two decades of experience in the global luxury sector, with expertise spanning brand positioning, product strategy, and retail transformation. She joins Lanvin from Eric Bompard, where she served as CEO and led efforts to modernize the brand while improving its financial performance.
Prior to Eric Bompard, Werschine was a member of the Executive Committee at Hermès, serving as Director of Leather Goods Collections. Her career also includes leadership and development positions at Celine, Louis Vuitton, and Zadig & Voltaire. Earlier in her career, she worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company.
In her new role, Werschine will oversee Lanvin’s global strategy, drive the brand’s continued development, and strengthen its international positioning. The appointment marks a new phase for the luxury fashion house as it seeks to balance its longstanding heritage with a modern growth strategy.
Lanvin Group said the leadership change underscores its commitment to advancing the next chapter of Maison Lanvin’s evolution while expanding the brand’s presence in key luxury markets around the world.
Lanvin Group is a global luxury fashion company headquartered in Shanghai and Milan. Its portfolio includes Lanvin, Wolford, Sergio Rossi, and St. John Knits. The company focuses on expanding the global reach of its brands through strategic investments, operational expertise, and access to high-growth luxury markets.
