Latham Adds Private Equity Partner Patrick Hennessy In London

Latham & Watkins has added Patrick Hennessy as a partner in its London Real Estate Practice, strengthening the firm’s capabilities at the intersection of real estate and private equity.

Hennessy joins from Gibson Dunn and advises private equity firms, global real estate investment funds and private companies on complex real estate and private equity transactions.

His practice spans the U.K., Europe and Asia and includes cross-border M&A, disposals, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and co-investments.

Hennessy has particular experience in real estate M&A and complex real estate joint venture structures, including significant work involving data center transactions.

The appointment continues an expansion of Latham’s Real Estate Practice that has also included the additions of partners David Oppenheimer, David Varne and Jeremy Kenley.

Latham sees Hennessy’s relationships and transactional experience as complementary to its Private Equity, Investment Funds, Real Estate and Capital Strategies practices.

His arrival also expands the firm’s London capabilities as real estate private equity transactions increasingly involve cross-border capital, financing, data center development and complex joint-venture structures.
