Latham & Watkins announced that Sarah Lightdale has rejoined the firm as a partner in its New York office, strengthening its securities and M&A litigation practice.
Lightdale brings extensive experience in M&A litigation, securities class actions, derivative cases, complex commercial disputes, and internal and regulatory investigations. She represents a broad range of clients, including public and private companies, boards of directors, investment banks, and private equity and venture capital firms.
Her practice includes litigating shareholder disputes and transactional matters in federal and state courts across the US, including the Delaware Court of Chancery. She also advises boards and special committees on transaction processes, shareholder activism, and fiduciary issues.
Lightdale returns to Latham from Cooley LLP and previously spent a decade at the firm earlier in her career. She earned her JD from NYU School of Law and her BA from Columbia University, and clerked for Judge Eric N. Vitaliano of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
