By Amit Chowdhry • May 12, 2026

Latham & Watkins announced that Ryan Rohlfsen has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice and as a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

Rohlfsen advises multinational corporations, boards of directors, and senior executives on high-stakes government-facing civil and criminal matters, internal investigations, litigation, compliance issues, and crisis management matters across global markets.

According to the firm, Rohlfsen has represented clients across six continents and has extensive experience handling matters involving international and domestic corruption investigations, securities and accounting fraud, healthcare fraud, money laundering, sanctions and export controls, data privacy, and state consumer protection matters.

Latham stated that Rohlfsen routinely guides public and private companies through complex government investigations and compliance matters, including advising companies on the development and enhancement of corporate compliance programs.

Prior to joining Latham, Rohlfsen was a partner at Ropes & Gray LLP. Earlier in his career, he served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Fraud Section in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, where he led investigations involving securities fraud, healthcare fraud, domestic corruption, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act enforcement.

The firm said Rohlfsen’s addition further strengthens its global white collar, investigations, and regulatory enforcement capabilities as corporations continue facing increasingly complex cross-border compliance and enforcement challenges.

Rohlfsen earned his JD from Drake University Law School and his BA from Drake University.
