Latham & Watkins Adds ITC And Patent Litigation Partner Lisa Kattan In Washington, D.C.

Latham & Watkins added Lisa Kattan as a partner in its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in Washington, D.C., where she will also serve as Co-Chair of the firm’s International Trade Commission Practice.

Kattan brings more than 25 years of ITC and patent litigation experience.

She advises technology and life sciences companies in Section 337 investigations and related patent disputes.

Her work includes proceedings before the ITC as well as related litigation in federal district courts, appellate courts, U.S. Customs, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Kattan’s matters have involved semiconductors, telecommunications, video streaming, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.

Earlier in her career, she spent five years at the ITC and served as Senior Investigative Attorney in the Office of Unfair Import Investigations.

In that role, she acted as lead trial counsel for the U.S. government in major patent infringement investigations.

The addition continues Latham’s expansion of its IP Litigation Practice, which has added several trial lawyers over the past year.

Kattan joins from Baker Botts.

She received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, an M.S. from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. from the University of South Dakota.
