Latham & Watkins: Christopher Heasley Named As Energy And Infrastructure Deal Partner In Houston

By Amit Chowdhry ● Dec 15, 2025

Latham & Watkins has added energy and infrastructure dealmaker Christopher Heasley as a partner in its Houston office, expanding the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice in Texas and reinforcing its push to grow its energy and infrastructure capabilities across upstream, midstream, downstream, and renewables.

Heasley advises clients on the development, acquisition, and divestiture of complex projects and assets across energy, infrastructure, and technology. His practice also includes counseling on joint ventures, DrillCo arrangements, tax equity financing, and other commercial transactions common to both traditional oil and gas and renewable energy deal structures.

The hire continues Latham’s recent momentum in Houston. Heasley is the second partner to join the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice in the office in November, following the earlier arrival of Max Klupchak. Latham said the additions are part of a broader effort to strengthen its market position in energy and infrastructure transactions, particularly in Texas, one of the most active global markets for oil and gas and a growing hub for energy transition and infrastructure investment.

Heasley joins Latham from Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He earned his JD from the University of Chicago Law School and his BA from George Washington University.
