Global law firm Latham & Watkins has announced that Dr. Todd Trattner has joined its Bay Area offices as a partner in the Emerging Companies & Growth Practice. His hire expands the firm’s capabilities in life sciences and technology-related intellectual property transactions, particularly in royalty financings, monetizations, licensing, and strategic collaborations.
In his new role, Trattner will represent investors, financiers, sponsors, and companies in complex IP and commercial transactions. His expertise spans royalty finance and monetisation, licensing and collaborations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, R&D financing, hybrid-capital financings, manufacturing and supply agreements, among other strategic commercial transactions.

Trattner steps into the role having previously served at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He holds a JD from Berkeley Law, along with an MS and PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
