Latham & Watkins announced that Erica Aho has joined the firm as a partner in its Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice. Aho initially joins the firm’s New York office and is expected to transition to Los Angeles. She advises on executive compensation and benefits matters tied to public company mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and other corporate transactions.
Aho is recognized for advising boards of directors and senior executives on compensation-related governance, disclosure, and securities law issues. Her practice also focuses on structuring incentive arrangements designed to balance regulatory requirements, executive retention, and shareholder alignment.
According to the firm, Aho’s arrival further strengthens Latham’s executive compensation capabilities and supports its broader corporate and transactional platform serving public companies and boards.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Aho was a partner at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. She earned her JD, summa cum laude, from New York Law School and her BA, summa cum laude, from New York University.
