Latham & Watkins announced that Jennifer Yoo has rejoined the firm as a partner in its Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice in Los Angeles, marking a return to the firm as demand for regulatory counsel in digital health and AI-driven healthcare continues to grow.
Yoo advises healthcare, life sciences, and technology clients on regulatory, transactional, and day-to-day compliance matters. Her work focuses on digital health, AI-enabled healthcare solutions, and emerging health data privacy regimes. She counsels a broad range of public and private companies, including digital health and consumer wellness companies, healthcare providers and health systems, and medical device and life sciences companies.
Her expertise spans healthcare fraud and abuse compliance, digital health regulations, AI applications in healthcare, strategic healthcare structuring, and HIPAA and state health data privacy compliance. Her practice is closely integrated with corporate and financing work.
The move reflects increasing demand for sophisticated healthcare regulatory advice as technology continues to reshape the sector, particularly in areas such as AI-enabled solutions and data privacy. Latham indicated that Yoo’s return will support the continued expansion of its healthcare and life sciences capabilities in California and across its broader platform.
Yoo rejoins the firm from Fenwick & West and was previously counsel in Latham’s Los Angeles office. She holds a JD from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and a BA, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
