Latham & Watkins has hired Victor Levy as a Partner in its Antitrust & Competition Practice in Paris, strengthening the global law firm’s European competition, regulatory and transactional capabilities.
Levy advises companies on merger-control filings before the European Commission, the French Competition Authority and competition regulators in other jurisdictions.
His practice also includes complex antitrust investigations and follow-on damages litigation before courts and competition authorities.
His sector experience spans aerospace and defense, consumer products and industrial companies.
Levy joins a Latham antitrust platform operating across the U.S., Europe and Asia and advising clients on major global transactions, cartel investigations, disputes and competition-related litigation.
The firm’s Paris and Brussels competition practices are ranked in the top tiers of major legal directories.
Latham said Levy’s appointment adds further depth as antitrust, merger-control and foreign-investment rules increasingly affect strategic corporate decisions across multiple jurisdictions.
His broader experience includes merger control, foreign investment screening, antitrust investigations, litigation and state aid.
Levy joins Latham from Hogan Lovells Cadwalader.
He holds a master’s degree in mathematics from École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, a master’s degree in European Business Law from Paris Panthéon-Assas University and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.
He is admitted to practice in Paris and New York.
