Latham & Watkins has announced that leading real estate private equity lawyer Jeremy Kenley will join the firm as a partner in its London Real Estate Practice. The appointment represents a significant strategic addition for the global firm as it continues to expand its capabilities in advising on high-value, complex real estate transactions across international markets.
Kenley is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished real estate private equity partners in London. He brings more than two decades of experience in private practice. He has also worked closely with major investment firms, allowing him to contribute deep market knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of cross-border deal structuring. His work spans private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and real estate funds, with extensive experience in real estate private equity and debt fund transactions, large-scale acquisitions, real estate mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements, co-investment structures, and debt-related strategies.
The firm’s leadership emphasized that Kenley’s arrival strengthens both its London practice and its global platform. His background also includes advising clients in the UK, Europe, and Asia on a broad range of corporate matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, disposals, leveraged buyouts, fund formation, and joint ventures. Kenley previously served as a partner at Gibson Dunn and holds an LLB from the University of Manchester, along with a Legal Practice Course qualification from the College of Law.
