Latitude Raises $35 Million Series A To Connect Stablecoins With Local Payment Rails Worldwide

Latitude has raised $35 million in Series A funding to expand its global payments infrastructure connecting stablecoins with local currency payment rails, bringing the company’s total funding to $43 million. The round was led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from NEA, Coinbase Ventures, Lightspeed Faction, OpenFX and Wilson Sonsini. The financing follows an $8 million seed round completed earlier in 2026.

Latitude is building infrastructure designed to make stablecoins easier for businesses and consumers to use for everyday international payments. Its technology connects stablecoin settlement directly with local payment methods so recipients can receive money in the currency and payment system they already use without needing a cryptocurrency wallet.

Examples include Pix in Brazil, UPI in India and mobile money in Kenya. Latitude’s goal is to enable contractors, sellers, employees and other recipients to receive local currency within minutes rather than waiting days for traditional cross-border payment systems.

For businesses, Latitude provides a single infrastructure layer for moving between stablecoins and local currencies across markets. A fintech or neobank entering a new country can connect to Latitude rather than independently building local banking, licensing and compliance infrastructure.

Latitude owns licenses and handles regulatory and compliance requirements associated with its payment infrastructure. The company is currently licensed or approved to operate in 45 U.S. markets and is pursuing additional licenses internationally.

Its network also connects with liquidity providers and payment venues to route transactions based on pricing while providing customers with access through a single API.

Latitude currently serves payroll platforms, marketplaces, fintech companies and wallets operating across more than 50 countries.

The company was founded by Cyril Mathew, Brian Wrightson and Vivek Morzaria, who previously held leadership roles at companies including Stripe, Coinbase, Meta, Uber and Zero Hash.

KEY QUOTES:

“Moving money should be as simple as sending a message. You shouldn’t need to understand stablecoins to use them. We built Latitude so a business can move money in and out of any market and have it just work. The hard part should be your product, not the plumbing underneath it.”

Cyril Mathew, Co-Founder and CEO of Latitude

“The real challenge is building the infrastructure for stablecoins that connects a global technology to the financial systems people and businesses rely on every day. Latitude has taken on that hard work from the beginning, building the regulatory foundation and local connectivity required to operate at scale. We believe they have the potential to become a foundational part of how money moves around the world.”
