Leap Partners has acquired Central Heat & Air, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning services provider based in Cleveland, Tennessee. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded more than four decades ago, Central Heat & Air serves customers throughout the Chattanooga-area market. The company has built its reputation around residential and commercial HVAC service, trained technicians and long-standing community relationships.
Central Heat & Air will continue operating under its existing brand following the acquisition. Tony Bishop will remain in a leadership role alongside the company’s current team.
Leap Partners plans to provide operational resources and investment intended to support the company’s next stage of growth. The structure is designed to preserve Central Heat & Air’s local identity while expanding the capabilities available to employees and customers.
The acquisition strengthens Leap Partners’ presence in Tennessee and expands its broader home services platform across the Southeast. The Nashville-based company invests in HVAC, plumbing and electrical service providers while allowing local management teams to retain operating autonomy.
Leap Partners has acquired 34 home services businesses over the past four years. Its portfolio spans Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
The company partners with businesses of varying sizes and provides support in areas intended to help them grow and expand. Leap Partners’ model allows owners to remain involved in their businesses or pursue a transition depending on their long-term plans.
Central Heat & Air was led by Bishop and Larry Gardner before joining Leap Partners. The company’s existing leadership, workforce and customer relationships are expected to remain central to its operating strategy.
