Leidos: $2.4 Billion Acquisition Of ENTRUST Solutions To Expand Energy Infrastructure Capabilities

Leidos has completed its approximately $2.4 billion acquisition of ENTRUST Solutions Group from Kohlberg, significantly expanding its footprint in the energy infrastructure market. The deal strengthens Leidos’ position in grid modernization and enhances its ability to support utilities facing increasing power demand and reliability challenges.

The acquisition effectively doubles Leidos’ presence in the energy infrastructure sector and adds more than 3,100 professionals with expertise in electric grid engineering and natural gas infrastructure. It also broadens the company’s engineering capabilities across the power delivery spectrum while expanding its customer base among utilities.

The integration of ENTRUST aligns with Leidos’ long-term investment strategy in energy infrastructure and supports its NorthStar 2030 growth plan. The combined organization is positioned to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions aimed at strengthening and securing energy systems across the United States.

Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, reported approximately $17.2 billion in annual revenue for fiscal year 2026 and employs around 47,000 people globally. ENTRUST Solutions Group operates across more than 40 locations in North America, providing engineering, consulting, design, asset integrity, and automation services to utilities and industrial clients.
