Lema AI: $24 Million Series A Raised For Modernizing Third Party Risk

Lema AI, an agentic AI security platform focused on enterprise supply chain and third-party risk, has emerged from stealth with $24 million in funding. The Series A was led by Team8, with F2 Venture Capital leading the Seed round and Salesforce Ventures participating.

As enterprises increasingly depend on large ecosystems of external vendors, Lema is positioning its platform as an alternative to compliance-first approaches that rely on static questionnaires, spreadsheets, and point-in-time assessments. The company says these manual processes create blind spots because third parties often maintain privileged access to internal systems and data, allowing a single vendor compromise to escalate into a broader incident.

Lema’s platform is built around an AI agent trained to operate like a vulnerability researcher. Rather than centering on checklist automation, the product emphasizes continuous forensic analysis that maps vendor access to critical assets, monitors data movement, and evaluates permission changes over time. Lema says this allows security teams to identify which vendors pose the greatest risk, understand the underlying attack paths, and take targeted mitigation steps. The company also says enterprises can assess a new vendor in under five minutes.

Founded in 2023, Lema AI was started by CEO Eddie Dovzhik, CPO Omer Yehudai, and CTO Tomer Roizman. The company says it has secured customers across multiple industries, including financial services and healthcare, and is already working with Fortune 500 companies.

Lema said the new capital will be used to accelerate research and development for its autonomous vendor risk analysis engine and to expand its go-to-market organization to meet demand from regulated and digitally driven enterprises.

KEY QUOTES:

“We founded Lema because third-party risk needs to be treated like a security problem, not a compliance checklist. The industry is relying on manual assessments that miss the real-time business context and impact third parties have on the organization. Our platform was built by elite security researchers to think like an elite security researcher – monitoring the actual ‘blast radius’ of a vendor to uncover the risks that can actually take a business down.”

Eddie Dovzhik, CEO And Co-Founder, Lema AI

“Third-party risk management has consistently ranked as one of the top three innovation priorities for CISOs, according to Team8’s CISO Village Survey, Yet most enterprises still manage this risk through outdated, compliance-driven processes that leave critical blind spots – costing organizations millions each year when third-party failures occur. Lema is the first platform to solve this by directly linking third-party behavior to business-critical assets—giving security teams a dynamic, actionable view of risk and fundamentally transforming how they secure their extended ecosystem.”
