- Lemonade has hired its first chief marketing officer Jeff Brooks. Brooks is coming to Lemonade from Casper.
Rapidly growing insurance startup Lemonade has hired its first chief marketing officer Jeff Brooks, according to AdAge. Brooks was most recently the chief marketing officer of direct to consumer mattress company Casper.
Lemonade — which is known for using AI-based chatbots for engaging with its customers — had formed its own internal agency in July. And Lemonade head of creative Nuno Ferreira is going to report to Brooks.
Next year, new work for the Lemonade Agency will begin according to co-founder and COO Shai Wininger. Wininger pointed out that more focus will be put on building the Lemonade brand in other mediums next year and the company will continue advertising on Facebook, YouTube, and other digital channels Wininger also said that one of the brand’s engineers already writes copy for Lemonade in the App Store.
“We identified her talent as a comedian and gave her permission,” added Wininger. “This is something that could never have happened in an agency dynamic.”
Brooks was the CMO at Casper since early last year. And before that, Brooks was the president and CMO of Huge, chief commercial officer at Assembly, and CEO of M&C Saatchi.
