Leon Capital Group, a diversified holding company for a privately owned group of entities, has launched a new Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice and appointed industry veteran Kevin Muskat to lead the effort from Dallas.
The firm said the new practice will expand its family office and private capital advisory services platform by complementing Leon’s pre- and post-close advisory capabilities across value creation, outsourced CFO services, technology consulting, and debt capital markets.
Muskat brings nearly 30 years of experience spanning mergers and acquisitions as well as pre- and post-close due diligence. He most recently served as a managing director at Accordion and previously spent two decades at EY, where he was a partner in the firm’s Strategy & Transactions practice advising financial sponsors, family offices, and corporate clients on buy- and sell-side engagements, divestitures, and carve-outs.
Leon positioned the TAS buildout as a tech-enabled, conflict-free alternative to traditional consulting models, emphasizing long-term orientation and an operational focus on driving outcomes throughout the investment lifecycle, from value creation and protection to realization.
