LevelBlue announced it has launched a strategic managed services partnership with Fortra that includes LevelBlue’s acquisition of Fortra’s Alert Logic Managed Detection and Response managed services business, a deal the companies say will expand LevelBlue’s global platform for managed detection and response and deepen the set of cybersecurity technologies available to customers.
The agreement pairs Fortra’s cybersecurity software portfolio with LevelBlue’s managed security operations model, with the companies positioning the combined offering as a broader defense-in-depth option for enterprises, governments, and partners facing an increasingly complex threat environment.
As part of the long-term partnership, LevelBlue will acquire the managed services for Alert Logic’s Managed Detection and Response, Extended Detection and Response, and Web Application Firewall solutions. LevelBlue said the combination will bring Alert Logic customers access to a larger global footprint, broader threat telemetry, and faster detection and response across complex environments. In parallel, Fortra will become one of LevelBlue’s leading cybersecurity partners, making its platforms available to LevelBlue’s global client base.
The companies said the partnership is intended to strengthen LevelBlue’s position in managed cybersecurity services, while supporting Fortra’s push to be a channel-first company serving resellers, service providers, and distributors. Fortra highlighted its partner program, Fortra Protect, as part of its broader strategy to work closely with managed service providers and channel partners.
LevelBlue said Fortra’s technologies add depth across data security, brand protection, email security, and offensive security, broadening options for customers seeking coverage across the attack surface. The companies also disclosed that Santander served as LevelBlue’s exclusive financial advisor, and Stephens served as the exclusive financial advisor to Fortra and Alert Logic.
