Levi Strauss & Co. has appointed John Vandemore as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective November 1, 2026, adding a veteran consumer-sector finance executive as the company pursues its ambition of becoming a $10 billion business.
Vandemore brings more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership experience across consumer, retail and entertainment companies.
He joins Levi Strauss from Skechers U.S.A., where he has served as CFO for the past nine years. In addition to leading Skechers’ global finance organization, Vandemore provided oversight of several operational functions.
During his tenure as CFO, Skechers nearly tripled revenue to more than $9 billion and expanded its global presence to more than 180 countries. The company operates across wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels, including more than 5,000 retail stores globally.
At Skechers, Vandemore’s responsibilities included accounting, data and analytics, financial planning, investor relations, tax and treasury, along with oversight of supply chain, digital and information technology functions.
Before Skechers, Vandemore served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Global Brands and Commercial Sales, at Mattel.
He previously served as CFO and Treasurer of International Game Technology and held finance and operational leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company, including CFO of Walt Disney Imagineering.
Earlier in his career, Vandemore worked at AlixPartners, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Vandemore succeeds Harmit Singh, Levi Strauss’ Executive Vice President and Chief Financial & Growth Officer, who announced plans to retire earlier in 2026. Singh will remain in his current role until Vandemore joins and will then serve as a Special Advisor through November 30 to support the transition.
