Levitate announced it has raised $16 million in a new funding round led by Harbert Growth Partners with participation from Bull City Venture Partners and Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures.

The Raleigh, North Carolina–based company said the latest investment brings its total capital raised to $71 million since its founding in 2017.

Levitate provides an AI-powered relationship marketing platform used by more than 8,000 businesses. The platform is designed to help relationship-based businesses maintain consistent communication with clients and prospects while preserving a personal touch. The company’s tools enable organizations to automate outreach, improve targeting, and stay top of mind with customers.

According to the company, the new funding will accelerate development of its AI innovation roadmap. The investment will support both internal AI capabilities and customer-facing features to help small businesses execute relationship marketing more effectively at scale.

Levitate also plans to expand its Service-as-Software model, which combines marketing automation with hands-on strategic support designed to help customers achieve measurable outcomes.

In addition to product development, the company said the capital will be used to grow its customer success and sales teams across the United States and Canada and expand its reach to serve a broader range of relationship-focused small businesses.

Levitate’s platform offers tools for sending tailored emails, managing social media posts, communicating with clients via text messages, sending surveys and event invitations, generating and managing reviews, scheduling meetings, and maintaining websites and blogs. The company also offers features for sending handwritten cards and tracking key contact information.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our original thesis was simple: AI should help relationship-based businesses become more consistent, more thoughtful, and more scalable in how they show up for their clients. This investment allows us to build more tools that make AI practical and accessible for small businesses, while continuing to strengthen the Service-as-Software experience our customers rely on.”
