Lexroom has acquired 100% of French legal AI company Query Juriste and Bulgarian legal technology company Praven Intelekt, completing its first M&A transactions and expanding its European footprint to five markets.
The acquisitions follow Lexroom’s organic expansion into Germany and Spain and mark a new phase in the company’s strategy to combine organic growth with M&A as it builds its AI operating system for legal professionals across Europe’s Civil Law markets.
The founders and teams of both acquired companies will join Lexroom and continue developing their respective local markets. The Query Juriste and Praven Intelekt brands will gradually transition to Lexroom.
Lexroom’s strategy reflects the localized nature of European legal systems. Each jurisdiction has its own legislation, case law, regulations, language and professional workflows, requiring country-specific legal data and expertise rather than a single generalized AI model.
The company has built its platform around a data-first architecture using certified legal sources, with the goal of producing reliable and verifiable AI-generated legal output across multiple jurisdictions.
Query Juriste gives Lexroom an established position in France. The company has nearly 300 customers and around 1,000 paying users, along with a legal research platform connected to more than 5 million French and European legal documents.
Praven Intelekt brings more than 900 customers and provides Lexroom with its first foothold in Central and Eastern Europe.
Query Juriste co-founder Etienne Le Guay will lead Lexroom’s development in France, while Praven Intelekt co-founder Siyanna Lilova will become Head of Central and Eastern Europe and oversee the company’s expansion across the region.
Founded in Paris in 2024 by Etienne Le Guay, Emile Lombardo and Maxence Mortagne, Query Juriste developed a proprietary agentic research architecture connected to 18 official French and European legal sources.
Its database includes more than 5 million continuously updated documents spanning case law, legislation, administrative doctrine, regulatory decisions and European Union law.
The bootstrapped company has expanded beyond legal research into document analysis and drafting, with customers including French law firms Bredin Prat and De Pardieu Brocas Maffei.
Praven Intelekt was founded in Sofia in 2025 by Siyanna Lilova, Rangel Milushev and Christian Tsanov.
Its AI assistant is designed specifically for Bulgarian law and supports lawyers, law firms, municipalities and in-house legal teams across research, document analysis and drafting.
The platform provides access to nearly 1.2 million legal documents from 18 official Bulgarian and European sources, with its legal data updated daily.
Praven Intelekt has grown to more than 20,000 registered users, more than 900 customers and approximately 1,500 weekly active users.
The transactions come as Lexroom itself continues to scale rapidly.
The company now serves more than 20,000 customers, employs more than 200 professionals and has connected its data-first architecture to more than 13 million legal sources.
Lexroom surpassed €20 million in annual recurring revenue during summer 2026.
In May 2026, Lexroom raised a $50 million Series B led by Left Lane, with participation from Base10 Partners, Eurazeo, Acurio Ventures, Entourage and View Different.
That financing came only eight months after a $19 million Series A and increased Lexroom’s total funding to more than $73 million.
Founded in 2023 by Paolo Fois, Martina Domenicali and Andrea Lonza, Lexroom ultimately aims to create an AI operating system that combines legal research, drafting, document analysis and other professional workflows within a single platform.
The company’s initial geographic emphasis is on Europe’s Civil Law markets, with the Query Juriste and Praven Intelekt acquisitions providing local technology, legal datasets, customers and operating teams to support that expansion.
