LGT Capital Partners Launches New Impact Equity Fund Focused On Climate, Sustainable Industries, And Health

By Amit Chowdhry • Dec 3, 2025

LGT Capital Partners has launched the LGT CP Impact Equity Global fund, an Article 9 strategy under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, aiming to deliver measurable positive social and environmental outcomes alongside competitive, risk-adjusted returns.

The fund invests globally in a concentrated but diversified portfolio of 25–40 public equity positions. Target companies must demonstrate strong fundamentals, long-term business models, and favorable growth potential, with key sector exposure in industrials, healthcare, and information technology. The MSCI AC World Index serves as the benchmark.

The strategy relies on LGT Capital Partners’ proprietary impact framework, developed over the past five years for its private equity impact vehicles. Companies must show a net positive contribution to one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and align with one of the fund’s three thematic pillars:

— Climate action: energy transition, resource management, and the circular economy

— Sustainable industries and communities: decarbonization enablers, inclusive growth, smart buildings, and infrastructure

— Health and well-being: healthcare and responsible well-being

KEY QUOTE:

“After launching our impact private equity strategies a few years ago, we are pleased to now introduce an impact strategy in the public equity domain. We believe that public equities can help to unlock untapped impact potential, as the major transitions required within an economic, social and environmental context cannot be realized by private markets alone. The strategy is backed by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein and our employees, who invest in the same portfolio as our clients.”
