LGT Capital Partners Raises €850 Million For Crown Europe Small Buyouts VII

LGT Capital Partners has raised €850 million for Crown Europe Small Buyouts VII, exceeding the fund’s €800 million target.

The oversubscribed vehicle continues LGT Capital Partners’ strategy of investing in European small buyout funds and emerging private equity managers.

Crown Europe Small Buyouts VII is designed to provide exposure to primary fund commitments, secondaries and co-investments, including access-constrained managers and investment opportunities across Europe’s small buyout market.

The fund attracted both existing and new investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations and family offices across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

LGT Capital Partners sees opportunities in a European small buyout market characterized by significant fragmentation, more conservative entry valuations and a growing number of emerging managers and spinouts.

The firm has committed almost €30 billion across European small buyout primary, secondary and co-investment transactions since 1998.

Its European investment team includes more than 70 professionals representing 20 nationalities.

LGT Capital Partners manages more than $120 billion in assets for over 750 institutional clients in 50 countries, supported by an international workforce of more than 950 professionals.

KEY QUOTES:

“We are grateful for the continued trust of our investors. CESB VII reflects our longstanding conviction that Europe’s small buyout market offers attractive opportunities for investors able to access specialist managers early and selectively. Our platform, relationships and experience across cycles remain central to identifying these opportunities.”

Cem Meric, Partner at LGT Capital Partners

“The European small buyout market remains highly fragmented, while growing mid-market dry powder continues to support exit opportunities for smaller companies. Combined with more conservative entry valuations and an increasing number of emerging managers and spinouts, this creates an attractive environment for active deal-making.”

Dominic Abt, Principal at LGT Capital Partners
