Liberty Energy and PowerBridge announced the formation of a strategic joint venture combining PowerBridge’s digital campus development assets with the power generation and energy management capabilities of Liberty Power Innovations, a Liberty Energy company. The joint venture’s current scope is focused on supporting a planned 2 gigawatt powered data center campus in West Texas, with an eye toward future opportunities across PowerBridge’s broader portfolio of gigawatt-scale powered campus developments.
The joint venture centers on PowerBridge’s Alpha Digital Campus, with its initial phase expected to include more than 300 megawatts of generation capacity and potential for additional phases over time. The first power delivery date is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2027, with deployment continuing through the first half of 2028. PowerBridge’s development strategy integrates site infrastructure through pad-ready powered campuses and a regional fiber conduit network, while Liberty Power Innovations will design, develop, and operate scalable, modular power generation architecture alongside power quality management and grid optimization solutions. The joint venture remains subject to finalizing additional commercial agreements and regulatory approvals.
