Liberty Restoration Group has completed the acquisition of ServiceMaster Restoration Services by KRS, expanding its disaster restoration and reconstruction platform with three additional offices in Illinois and Wisconsin.
The transaction adds locations in Peoria and Bloomington, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and represents Liberty’s second acquisition of 2026 following its April purchase of ServiceMaster of Columbia in Columbia, Missouri.
Together, the two acquisitions expand Liberty’s operating footprint to eight markets across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Kentucky.
The company now operates from St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri; Bloomington and Peoria, Illinois; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; and Louisville, Kentucky.
Liberty is building a multi-market ServiceMaster Restore franchise platform designed to provide emergency mitigation, restoration and reconstruction services across a larger regional network.
Its services include water, fire and smoke, storm and mold damage recovery for residential and commercial customers.
The expanded footprint is intended to give Liberty additional local response capacity while allowing customers, insurance carriers and property managers to work with a single provider across multiple Midwest markets.
Both acquired businesses will retain important elements of their existing leadership.
Nick Kellerstrass, owner of ServiceMaster Restoration Services by KRS, will remain with the organization and lead the Peoria, Bloomington and Milwaukee teams.
Adam Kinser, owner of ServiceMaster of Columbia, will also remain involved with the Columbia operation.
Liberty plans to provide acquired businesses with centralized resources spanning finance, human resources, training and broader regional capacity while maintaining the local teams and customer relationships that built the individual businesses.
Liberty Restoration Group was formed in 2025 following an investment in the ServiceMaster Restore system by MBN Brands alongside Petra Capital Partners and SharpVue Capital.
The company plans to continue pursuing acquisitions as it increases its density across the Midwest and brings additional restoration businesses onto a common platform of shared systems, leadership and operating standards.
Petra Capital Partners has invested more than $900 million across more than 100 growth companies during its history and is currently investing through Petra Growth Fund V. SharpVue Capital provides debt and equity capital to lower-middle-market businesses.
RMP served as legal advisor to MBN Brands, while Smith Anderson advised Petra Capital Partners and SharpVue Capital.
