Life Electric Vehicles Holdings, Inc., an electric mobility platform company, announced that it has completed a court-approved asset acquisition of the Rad Power Bikes brand, including its intellectual property, inventory, and certain operating assets. Rad Power Bikes is widely recognized as one of North America’s leading e-bike brands.

The transaction positions Life Electric Vehicles Holdings as the owner of the Rad Power Bikes brand and establishes a foundation for expanding U.S.-based assembly, strengthening quality control, and accelerating the development of new products. Following the closing of the deal, the company will continue retail operations under the Rad Power Bikes brand across the United States and plans to grow the retail footprint in select markets.

Life Electric Vehicles also said it plans to support existing Rad riders through post-closing customer programs, including honoring certain warranties and gift cards in accordance with the terms of the asset purchase agreement.

The acquisition aligns with Life Electric Vehicles’ broader strategy to expand electric mobility across North America by building a portfolio of electric vehicle brands supported by vertically integrated capabilities. The company said it will leverage operational experience from across its platform, including its work supporting the Serial 1 premium electric bicycle brand.

Rad Power Bikes has played a significant role in the growth of the e-bike sector and the broader push toward alternative transportation. Life Electric Vehicles said it intends to build on that foundation with a renewed focus on product innovation, customer experience, and operational improvements designed to better serve the Rad rider community.

The company also plans to transition Rad Power Bikes’ production to the United States through affiliated manufacturing operations using a Foreign Trade Zone structure. This approach is intended to bring component sourcing, assembly, quality control, inventory management, and distribution together under the broader Life Electric Vehicles platform.

According to the company, components are expected to be sourced directly from leading global suppliers at the fabrication level, a strategy designed to improve quality standards, enhance pricing visibility, and mitigate tariff and supply chain risks. Life Electric Vehicles said aligning these capabilities will help reduce overhead, streamline production, and deliver more consistent, high-quality electric bicycles while supporting the expansion of domestic manufacturing capacity.

Life Electric Vehicles Holdings is focused on acquiring, developing, and scaling electric bicycle and micromobility brands through vertically integrated domestic assembly, supply chain, and distribution capabilities. The company operates through its Rad Life Mobility subsidiary to support sales, customer service, and distribution across direct-to-consumer, retail, and dealer channels. It also holds an equity interest in LEV Manufacturing, which previously acquired the Serial 1 premium electric bicycle brand originally developed and spun off from Harley-Davidson.

The company said it is advancing U.S.-based production initiatives, including planned operations in Florida, Tennessee, and Utah, as part of its effort to strengthen domestic assembly capabilities and build a scalable manufacturing platform for electric mobility products.
