Liferaft, a provider of SaaS-based open-source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence solutions, has been acquired by global security company Securitas, marking a strategic move to enhance intelligence-led security services worldwide.
The acquisition brings Liferaft’s technology platform into Securitas’ global operations, enabling organizations to better identify, assess, and respond to emerging physical and digital threats. Liferaft’s platform converts publicly available data into actionable intelligence, helping enterprises improve situational awareness and proactively mitigate risks.
By integrating Liferaft’s capabilities, Securitas aims to strengthen its intelligence-driven security approach, combining advanced analytics and OSINT with its global operational footprint. The combined offering is designed to address increasing complexity in the threat landscape, including geopolitical instability, rising digital risk signals, and more sophisticated threat actors.
Liferaft will also benefit from expanded access to Securitas’ global customer base, accelerating the deployment of its intelligence solutions at scale. Together, the companies aim to bridge the gap between data-driven insights and real-world security operations, enabling clients to make faster, more informed decisions.
Securitas, which operates in 44 markets and employs approximately 322,000 people, has been investing in technology and data-driven security solutions in recent years. The addition of Liferaft further supports its strategy to deliver integrated, intelligence-led services that protect people, assets, and operations.
