Lifeward has appointed Josh Hexter as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Rami Aviram as Chief Financial Officer as the biomedical innovation company looks to build on increasing commercial momentum across its rehabilitation technology portfolio.
Hexter’s appointment is effective September 1, while Aviram will become CFO on November 1.
Hexter succeeds Mark Grant, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities. Grant will remain as a consultant through September 30 to assist with the leadership transition.
The changes come after Lifeward reported its strongest quarterly revenue performance since the fourth quarter of 2024.
Second-quarter 2026 revenue increased 16% year over year to $6.6 million, with ReWalk Personal Exoskeleton sales increasing 13% and AlterG product and service revenue growing 25%.
Hexter brings nearly three decades of leadership, operations and business development experience across life sciences.
He previously served as Chief Operating and Business Officer at Oramed Pharmaceuticals, Chief Business Officer at BrainsWay and Executive Director of Corporate In-Licensing at BioLineRx. He also founded and served as CEO of Biosensor Systems Design.
Aviram most recently served as CFO of Beewise, a robotics, AI and computer vision company. He previously served as CFO of ENDYMED Medical and held senior finance positions at Syneron-Candela.
Lifeward’s commercial portfolio includes the ReWalk Exoskeleton, AlterG Anti-Gravity system, MyoCycle FES System and ReStore Exo-Suit.
The company is also expanding beyond rehabilitation into therapeutic platforms, including its Protein Oral Delivery platform and ORMD-0801 oral insulin candidate.
KEY QUOTES:
“Mark, Almog and the entire Lifeward team have done an outstanding job establishing the foundation for the Company’s next stage of growth. The Company’s second-quarter performance provides tangible evidence of that progress, and we thank them for their leadership and important contributions.”
Avi Gabay, Chairman of Lifeward
“When I joined Lifeward, my priority was building the commercial foundation to scale the business: strengthening our reimbursement capabilities, expanding our distribution model and positioning the Company with the capital to execute its growth strategy. With that foundation in place and delivering results, I have decided to pursue other opportunities. I am proud of what our team accomplished and confident Josh, Rami and the Board will build on this momentum.”
Mark Grant, Outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Lifeward
“Lifeward has reached an important point in its development, with the commercial infrastructure, reimbursement foundation and distribution strategy in place to support a much larger business. Mark built Lifeward’s commercial and reimbursement infrastructure and successfully expanded its distribution model, putting the Company in a strong position to scale from here. My priority as Interim CEO will be to build on the Company’s established commercial execution strategy and leverage Lifeward’s platform across its growing portfolio of rehabilitation technologies.”
Josh Hexter, Incoming Interim Chief Executive Officer of Lifeward
