Lightfield Raises $47 Million Series A To Build AI-Native CRM For Companies Using Agents

Lightfield has raised $47 million in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz to scale a CRM platform designed from the ground up for companies using AI agents to prospect, manage deals and work with customers. The round also included participation from Maverick Capital, Coatue, Audacious, Alumni Ventures, Greylock and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

More than 5,000 companies have signed up for Lightfield since its November 2025 launch, deploying AI agents that build pipeline, work deals and manage customers from a shared record of their business.

Lightfield’s thesis is that traditional CRMs were designed around people manually entering information into fields, stages and notes, which can leave AI agents working with incomplete or outdated information.

Instead, Lightfield automatically builds a continuously updated record from customer interactions and structures the information so agents can understand what happened, identify what is currently true and predict what may happen next.

The platform automatically ingests interactions from email, calendars, calls, Slack and LinkedIn and links that information to the relevant people, deals and accounts.

Lightfield then creates what it calls a business world model, preserving how customer relationships and business states evolve over time rather than reducing them to a static collection of database fields.

AI agents operate through a standardized SDK, can perform analysis inside a code sandbox and are monitored by evaluations intended to maintain consistent output quality.

Lightfield is also designed as an open platform, with records readable and writable through API, MCP and CLI interfaces, enabling customers to build their own automations and agents on top of the data.

Companies are using Lightfield to automate prospecting, close deals faster, identify performance gaps and help new sellers ramp more quickly.

KEY QUOTES:

“Agents don’t fail because the models aren’t capable. They fail because the data they work with is incomplete, inaccurate, and missing the structure needed for comprehension. Lightfield builds a world model of the business from every customer interaction, so every person and every agent works from the same understanding of what’s true and what happens next.”

Keith Peiris, Co-Founder and CEO of Lightfield

“Building a system of record is one of the hardest things to do in software, because you have to earn a customer’s trust before they’ll hand you the data that runs their business. This team earned it with thousands of companies in under a year.”

Joe Schmidt IV, Partner at Andreessen Horowitz

“Every platform shift produces a new system of record. Salesforce defined it for the cloud era, and Lightfield is defining it for the agent era. Companies building with agents need more than a CRM with AI features. They need a system designed from the ground up for agents to work from. That’s what Lightfield has built.”
