Linesight has appointed John Butler as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2027, as the global construction consultancy prepares for its next phase of international growth.

Butler will succeed Paul Boylan, who will continue to lead the broader organization as Group CEO of IPS-Integrated Project Services. The group includes IPS, Linesight and Springtide and has more than 4,500 employees and approximately $2 billion in net revenue.

Linesight provides cost, project controls, program and project management services across data centers, life sciences, high-tech industrial and commercial markets.

The company has expanded substantially in recent years. Since 2021, Linesight has grown from 20 offices and 700 employees to 44 offices across 30 countries and more than 2,500 employees. During that period, the company generated annual revenue growth ranging from 15% to 24% and expects to maintain double-digit growth over the next three years.

Butler has spent 25 years with Linesight and has held leadership roles across the U.K., EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Over the past 15 years, he helped expand Linesight’s APAC and Middle East operations to more than 600 employees across 10 offices and eight markets.

The region serves several of Linesight’s largest global clients, including four of the 10 largest technology companies in the Fortune Global 500, and has supported more than 200 data center projects across 15 countries.

As CEO, Butler will focus on expanding Linesight’s global presence, strengthening its capabilities and developing teams to support clients investing in major international markets.

Scott Halyday will succeed Butler as Managing Director for APAC and the GCC on January 1, 2027, and will join Linesight’s Global Executive team. Halyday joined the company in 2018 and has more than 20 years of experience leading major programs and client relationships.
