- LinkedIn has announced the release of several new features for Pages to engage communities
LinkedIn senior director of product management Rishi Jobanputra has announced that the professional social network has released new features for brand Pages. There are more than 50 million organizations around the world that use LinkedIn Pages to engage with customers, prospects, and employees.
“In this quarter’s update, we’re introducing some new tools to help you engage with your community in more personal and interactive ways,” said Jobanputra. “Features including Invite to follow, LinkedIn Live integration and new posting options can help you give your followers, customers, and employees a better sense of the people and values behind your brand, so you can form stronger relationships.”
Invite To Follow
It can be a challenge to increase the number of engaged and relevant followers. So the Invite To Follow feature could help increase that metric. Using the Invite To Follow feature, you can invite first-degree Profile connections to follow your Page to help grow the organization’s audience.
Streaming With LinkedIn Live
LinkedIn Live is known for helping users and organizations have real-time interactions with communities. And brands have seen 7x more reactions and 24x more comments with the platform compared to standard video posts on LinkedIn. Brands have been using the feature for fashion shows, costume contests, and social responsibility.
“We’re delighted to bring LinkedIn Live to Pages so that organizations can leverage sight, sound, and motion to have direct conversations and interactions with their Page followers. LinkedIn Live enables you to engage in two-way conversations on-screen, while driving real-time participation through comments. Additionally, notifications of a Page going live will be distributed to followers, who have push notifications enabled and already engage with video on LinkedIn,” added Jobanputra.
Posting As A Page Of Member
LinkedIn also added the ability to engage with a community by including the ability to post as an individual or an organization. The new toggle switch on the homepage makes it easier to post from the same place you already post on LinkedIn so you can promote the organization’s brand in a way that works for you.
