- LinkedIn announced it has launched an all-in-one Insights Hub for marketers on its platform. Here are the details.
With a community of more than 645 million members and 30 million businesses around the world, LinkedIn is a central destination for professional networking. And LinkedIn has become a robust source of insights around people, industries, and advertising for data-driven marketers.
And with so much data, LinkedIn knows it can be challenging to pinpoint the most valuable information. So LinkedIn’s Head of North American Insights in the Marketing Solutions division Jennifer Brett, Ph.D. recently announced the company was unveiling the LinkedIn Insights and Research page — which is a new feature within its Success Hub for Marketers. And using the handy resource, users are able to guide and substantiate a social media marketing strategy based on comprehensive insights concerning audiences, industry verticals, and the LinkedIn ad landscape.
In the Insights and Research hub, there is useful information divided across three categories.
The People Insights hub is where you can learn all about audiences on LinkedIn at an aggregate level including who they are, where they’re from, what they engage with. Users can leverage these Insights to inform your targeting and campaign strategy and drive more effective reach and engagement. Within this section, you can access insights into top audiences on LinkedIn, including their location, skills, and the influencers they follow, which you can filter by various professional cohorts (C-suite, small business owners, IT decision-makers, etc.). And you will also be to find topics resonating most with specific audiences such as venture capital, cloud computing and many more. And it also features content that members are engaging most with on the platform.
The Industry Insights hub features key insights, trends, and research on the marketing landscape including vertical-specific insights. In this section you will discover ample data pertaining to an assortment of verticals such as financial services, tech, and healthcare and high-level B2B marketing trends, including contrarian ideas to set your business apart from competitors. Plus it also features studies on thought leadership and its demonstrable impact on various audiences and buyer stages.
And the Advertising Insights hub was designed to users fully understand the LinkedIn advertising landscape from every angle so you can measure and maximize your marketing impact. This feature includes guidance on sophisticated performance measurement so you can better match your ad strategy with core business objectives and exploration of branding techniques, tactics, and measurement on the platform. Plus it also has research and advice on aligning sales and marketing departments to develop a cohesive approach on LinkedIn.
