Littelfuse, a leader in electrical energy transfer solutions, announced a definitive agreement to acquire Basler Electric Company for approximately $350 million in cash.
After accounting for expected tax benefits of around $30 million, the net transaction value is approximately $320 million. The deal strengthens Littelfuse’s footprint in mission-critical industrial markets, including power generation, utilities, and data centers.
Founded in 1942 and headquartered in Highland, Illinois, Basler is a family-owned company with about 700 employees and three manufacturing facilities in Illinois, Texas, and Mexico. Over 1,600 global customers use its advanced electrical control and protection systems to regulate and safeguard power infrastructure. For 2025, Basler is projected to generate $125 million in revenue with a high-teens adjusted EBITDA margin.
The acquisition expands Littelfuse’s portfolio of high-power applications and complements its industrial technology offerings, enhancing customer access and operational synergies. The transaction, expected to close by the end of 2025, will see Basler integrated into the Littelfuse Industrial Segment.
