Littlejohn has promoted Brian Michaud to Managing Partner as part of a planned transition in the private investment firm’s senior leadership. Michaud will oversee the firm alongside Managing Partners Antonio Miranda and Steven Raich and Chief Operating Officer Shant Mardirossian.

Managing Partner and CEO Michael Klein has been named Chairman. Managing Partner and President Brian Ramsay has been appointed Vice Chairman.

Klein and Ramsay will remain involved with Littlejohn in their new roles. They will support the firm’s managing partners and continue working with its investment team on portfolio companies and capital deployment.

Michaud joined Littlejohn in 2007 and has worked at the firm for nearly two decades. He is a member of the Investment Committee and has participated in numerous investments across Littlejohn’s portfolio.

He played a significant role in developing and expanding Littlejohn’s services investment vertical. The strategy focuses on middle-market companies operating in transportation, logistics, commercial services and professional services.

Michaud currently serves on the boards of Milrose Consultants, GDS Associates, Interstate Waste Services, Imperative Logistics Group, Pritchard Industries and Valcourt Building Services. His responsibilities as Managing Partner will include firm management, investment oversight and continued support for portfolio company growth.

The leadership transition preserves continuity while moving more responsibility to Littlejohn’s next generation of senior executives. The firm said Klein and Ramsay will continue contributing their investment experience and institutional knowledge.

Klein co-founded Littlejohn and helped establish its culture, values and investment approach. Ramsay joined the firm in 1997 and has played a central role in developing its investment processes and organizational capabilities.

Littlejohn invests in growing middle-market industrial and services companies through private equity and debt strategies. The Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm manages approximately $9 billion in regulatory assets.

Its investment approach combines capital with operational and sector expertise developed over approximately 30 years. Littlejohn seeks to help portfolio companies improve performance, manage change and build sustainable long-term growth.
