Lochner Rebrands As Egis With 1,500+ U.S. Professionals Across 70 Offices Following 2025 Merger

H.W. Lochner has officially rebranded as Egis, completing another stage of integration following the companies’ 2025 merger and creating a unified U.S. infrastructure business with more than 1,500 professionals across 70 offices. The transition follows the merger completed on July 23, 2025.

Operating under a single Egis brand is intended to support the company’s expansion across the U.S. and North America while combining capabilities in transportation, water, energy and environmental infrastructure.

The unified organization plans to provide broader end-to-end services by combining Lochner’s long-established U.S. infrastructure operations with Egis’ global architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility expertise.

Lochner brought more than 80 years of experience in public infrastructure to the combination.

The U.S. business now has more than 1,500 professionals working across 70 offices and provides consulting and technical services across mobility and the broader built environment.

Globally, Egis operates in 70 countries and employs approximately 23,500 people.

The company is ranked No. 17 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 225 International Design Firms and No. 7 in transportation.
