Loenbro has acquired Prism Electric in the largest acquisition in the company’s history, significantly expanding its electrical capabilities, workforce and geographic presence across the Southern United States.
Prism Electric is an electrical contractor with a strong presence in Texas and Oklahoma. Founded in 1994, the company provides electrical construction services across healthcare, industrial, commercial and mission-critical projects.
The acquisition adds approximately 2,500 employees to Loenbro and substantially increases the company’s operational capacity. Members of Prism’s leadership team will assume key operational leadership positions within Loenbro’s South Region to support continuity and integration.
Loenbro provides specialized services to data center, infrastructure and diversified industrial markets. Adding Prism will broaden its ability to support complex projects across data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, commercial construction and industrial infrastructure.
The transaction also strengthens Loenbro’s position in fast-growing Southern markets where demand for electrical infrastructure is increasing alongside data center development, manufacturing investment and broader infrastructure spending.
Prism will become part of a Loenbro platform that provides critical electrical, mechanical and structural services, soft crafts, inspection, underground maintenance and installation, and fabrication.
Loenbro entered a strategic partnership with middle-market private equity firm Kohlberg in December 2025 to accelerate its growth and expansion. The Prism acquisition represents a major component of that strategy.
Alvarez & Marsal served as due diligence advisor and Evercore was financial advisor to Loenbro, while Godfrey & Kahn provided legal counsel. Glaucon Partners advised Prism financially, with Hallett & Perrin serving as legal counsel.
