Logicalis US announced it has acquired Maple Woods Enterprises, a long-time security partner, in a move the company said will deepen its managed security capabilities and strengthen its Overwatch cybersecurity and compliance program. Logicalis framed the deal as an integration play, bringing a partner that has helped build and deliver Overwatch directly into its managed services organization to improve scale, consistency, and technical depth.

Maple Woods’ flagship Overwatch offering was originally developed to meet the stringent cybersecurity and compliance requirements of highly regulated federal and commercial environments. Logicalis said Maple Woods’ security experience has been central to Overwatch’s development and delivery as a key partner, and that absorbing the team and capabilities into Logicalis’ services framework will enhance the value it can provide to customers seeking more structured and proactive security coverage.

Logicalis said the acquisition will improve its ability to deliver trusted, scalable security solutions while also supporting expansion into additional verticals, including healthcare, state, local and education (SLED), and other markets where compliance-driven security programs are increasingly in demand. The company positioned the combination as a way to broaden access to Overwatch beyond its roots in more heavily regulated settings, while maintaining the rigor associated with those standards.

Operationally, Logicalis said customers will benefit from a comprehensive security strategy that includes assessments, policy and documentation development, security information and event management (SIEM) review, vulnerability oversight, access control analysis, and ongoing compliance management. The focus is on moving beyond point solutions into an ongoing programmatic approach, with Overwatch positioned as the core framework for continuous improvement and readiness.

As part of the integration, Logicalis said Maple Woods founder Rob Edwards will join Logicalis US as Vice President, Security and Innovation. Edwards characterized Overwatch as a capability built to satisfy some of the most demanding cybersecurity and compliance requirements in the U.S. defense industry, and said joining Logicalis will allow the team to bring that experience to a broader customer base.

Logicalis used the announcement to reinforce its positioning as a global technology service provider delivering next-generation managed services across cloud, connectivity, collaboration, and security. The company said it supports more than 10,000 clients with over 7,000 employees across 27 countries, and noted that it is a division of Datatec Limited, a Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed company.
