LPL Financial has added McCutchen Wesson Wealth Advisors (execs pictured above), a Marion, Arkansas-based advisory team serving approximately $190 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets. The practice is led by financial advisors Paul McCutchen and Jarod Wesson, AAMS, and joins LPL Financial from Edward Jones.
McCutchen and Wesson have more than 30 years of combined industry experience and serve clients throughout the Mid-South.
Their client base includes business owners, professionals, retirees and multigenerational families.
The team also works extensively with farmers and agriculture-related businesses, reflecting its roots in the communities surrounding Marion, which is located near Memphis, Tennessee.
McCutchen Wesson Wealth Advisors emphasizes a personalized approach built around simplifying financial decisions and helping clients understand the strategies available to them.
McCutchen and Wesson each maintain their own client relationships while working from the same office and collaborating on opportunities, planning considerations and challenges that arise across their respective practices.
The advisors selected LPL for its broader investment platform, planning capabilities and flexibility to structure their business around individual client needs.
The move gives McCutchen Wesson access to additional investment, financial planning, banking and lending resources.
The team also cited LPL’s independent model as an important factor in the decision, allowing the advisors to develop their own investment and planning philosophy rather than following a standardized approach.
McCutchen said the transition is intended to give the practice greater control over how it serves clients while expanding the resources available to support increasingly complex financial needs.
Wesson similarly sees the LPL platform as an opportunity to broaden the firm’s capabilities and deepen existing client relationships over time.
LPL provides brokerage and registered investment advisory infrastructure to independent financial advisors and wealth management practices across the U.S.
The addition of McCutchen Wesson Wealth Advisors expands LPL’s presence in the Mid-South while adding a practice with established relationships across business, professional, agricultural and multigenerational wealth segments.
KEY QUOTES:
“We’ve always believed financial advice should be personal and easy to understand. Many of our clients have spent years building businesses and family legacies. They deserve an advisor who takes the time to listen, educate and be there when they need guidance. Our goal is to simplify complex financial topics and help clients stay focused on what matters most to them.”
“For me, this move was about creating something that truly reflects who we are and how we want to serve clients. LPL’s flexibility allows us to build our own philosophy and choose the resources that make the most sense for our clients. That independence gives us the freedom to focus on what they need, and not take a one-size-fits-all approach.”
