LPL Financial has expanded its independent advisor network with the addition of Jon Burnett, Dan Fowler, and Chad Carlile, three Texas-based financial advisors who collectively serve approximately $430 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets. The advisors join LPL from Raymond James and will operate through the company’s broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, and custodial platforms.
The three advisors lead independent practices across the Texas Panhandle and West Texas, serving clients that include farmers, ranchers, oil and gas professionals, business owners, and multigenerational families.
Although their practices operate independently, the advisors have collaborated for more than 14 years, maintaining professional relationships while serving their respective communities.
Their affiliation with LPL provides access to the firm’s investment solutions, technology, operational infrastructure, and business development resources while allowing them to retain their independent practice structures.
Burnett Financial Services, based in Amarillo, is led by Jon Burnett, who has nearly 30 years of experience in financial services.
Burnett works with individuals, families, and business owners throughout the region, including families that have maintained relationships with his practice for four generations.
His approach emphasizes long-term financial planning and helping clients navigate important financial decisions across different stages of life.
Burnett previously worked with LPL and cited his familiarity with the firm’s technology, operating model, and advisor support capabilities as important factors in his decision to return.
His practice is supported by Ryan Houk, who has worked alongside Burnett and his clients for approximately 15 years.
Fowler Investment Services, based in Pampa, is led by Dan Fowler, who has worked in financial services since 2012.
Fowler provides personalized financial guidance to clients preparing for retirement, managing business transitions, and planning for future generations.
He selected LPL partly because of its technology infrastructure and the familiarity he and his colleagues already had with the platform.
Carlile Investment Services, based in Lubbock, is led by Chad Carlile, who brings more than 20 years of industry experience serving clients throughout West Texas.
Carlile focuses on developing long-term client relationships and providing financial planning strategies tailored to individual circumstances.
His practice is supported by Cyan Batchelor, who has worked with Carlile and his clients for approximately 20 years.
Carlile cited LPL’s transition support, technology capabilities, and flexibility as key considerations behind the move.
The additions expand LPL’s presence across regional Texas markets where independent financial advisors frequently work with clients whose financial planning needs span business ownership, agricultural operations, energy industry employment, and family wealth management.
LPL’s independent affiliation model allows advisors to maintain control over their individual businesses while accessing the technology and operational infrastructure of a national financial services organization.
The three practices will remain separate entities from LPL Financial.
LPL currently supports more than 32,000 financial advisors and the wealth management businesses of approximately 1,100 financial institutions. The company services and custodies approximately $2.6 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets on behalf of roughly 8 million Americans.
The approximately $430 million in assets associated with the three incoming advisors is based on asset and holding information provided to LPL at the end of 2025.
