LPL Financial announced that Ilan Davidovici has joined the firm as executive vice president of corporate strategy, a newly announced role in which he will lead the company’s corporate strategy team and work across the organization to set long-term direction and strategic priorities.

LPL said Davidovici will partner with business leaders to help define the firm’s long-range vision, evaluate growth opportunities and support initiatives aimed at positioning the company for sustained performance as it continues to scale its national wealth management platform.

Davidovici brings more than two decades of financial services experience focused on transformation, growth and client experience, according to the company. Most recently, he served as principal and general partner at Edward Jones, where LPL said he led client and branch experience management and implemented an “experience-first” operating model intended to strengthen advisor and client engagement.

Prior to Edward Jones, Davidovici held senior leadership roles at Salesforce, where he launched and expanded the company’s wealth and asset management offering globally, LPL said. Earlier, he worked at Deloitte Consulting, where he led transformational programs for large financial institutions. He also co-founded Citadel Trust Advisors, which LPL described as a growth-focused wealth and trust administration firm.

Marc Cohen, LPL’s chief growth officer, said Davidovici’s background across strategy, digital transformation and client experience will support the firm’s efforts to advance its long-term vision and accelerate enterprise growth. LPL also said Davidovici will be based in the company’s New York office.

Davidovici holds a Bachelor of Science in speech communications, marketing and business studies from the University of Texas and completed international business studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the company said.

LPL Financial Holdings Inc., which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker LPLA, said it supports more than 32,000 financial advisors and the wealth management practices of about 1,100 financial institutions. The company said it services and custodies roughly $2.3 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets on behalf of approximately 8 million Americans, offering a range of affiliation models, investment solutions, technology tools and practice management services for advisors and institutions.
