Lucid Bots: $20 Million Raised To Expand Autonomous Exterior Cleaning Platform

Lucid Bots, a robotics company focused on autonomous exterior cleaning, announced it has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round. The round was co-led by Cubit Capital and Idea Fund Partners, with participation from Taylor Rhodes, WaterStone Impact Fund, Front Porch Ventures, and existing investors. This latest raise brings the company’s total funding to $34 million.

The company plans to use the new capital to scale commercial operations, expand its manufacturing capacity in Charlotte, North Carolina, and accelerate the rollout of its Robotics-as-a-Service offering, Lucid Refresh. This subscription platform provides cleaning operators with access to a full suite of autonomous cleaning tools, including drones, pressure-washing robots, fleet management software, training, and operational support.

Lucid Bots has positioned itself as a platform company rather than a single-product provider. Its systems, including the Sherpa cleaning drone and the Lavo AI pressure-washing robot, are designed to help cleaning businesses take on larger and more complex jobs without the burden of upfront capital investment or robotics expertise.

The company’s operator network has already generated more than $75 million in exterior cleaning revenue using Lucid systems. With nearly 1,000 robots deployed and strong inbound demand, Lucid Bots reported that it generated as much revenue in 2025 as it did in its first seven years combined.

A key differentiator for the company is its data advantage. Its robots have logged hundreds of thousands of hours of real-world cleaning data across different environments and conditions. This dataset continuously improves the performance of its AI systems, enabling more precise, adaptive, and consistent cleaning outcomes over time.

Lucid Bots also emphasizes domestic manufacturing, producing its systems at a 25,000-square-foot facility in Charlotte. This footprint supports compliance with federal requirements for U.S.-built robotic systems and strengthens its ability to serve commercial and government customers.

The company counts a wide range of customers, from independent operators to enterprise clients such as Disney and Sunbelt Rentals, along with commercial facilities managers nationwide.

Lucid Bots is also part of the NVIDIA Inception Program, supporting its ongoing development of AI and autonomy capabilities.

KEY QUOTES:

“We’re on an ambitious journey to give software a body to do physically productive work that the world needs and become the USA’s leading supplier of modular drones and robots. This capital allows us to meet the massive market demand we’re seeing today while expanding our product offerings and accelerating our manufacturing and autonomy goals. The next 18 months will be transformative for our product roadmap and the industry at large.”

Andrew Ashur, Founder and CEO of Lucid Bots

“Our customers are running cleaning businesses. They don’t need a robot — they need a way to take on jobs they couldn’t do before, execute them better than the competition, and do it without betting their company on a capital purchase. That’s what we built. It’s less like buying equipment and more like adding a robotics division to your business that you can deploy on any job, any time.”

Vic Pellicano, President and Chief Platform Officer of Lucid Bots

“At Cubit Capital, we invest in companies with courageous leadership confronting meaningful societal challenges, and Lucid Bots represents exactly that. The labor crisis in industrial work is real, and Lucid has achieved genuine innovation with technology that empowers workers and creates safer workplaces. Their traction speaks for itself, and we’re excited to support a team that’s striving for redemptive outcomes by empowering workers rather than replacing them.”

Philip Carson, Partner at Cubit Capital

“What excites us about Lucid Bots is that this isn’t a single-product company. It’s a platform defining a new category. By building AI systems trained on more real-world cleaning data than anyone else in the industry, they’re creating a compounding advantage that will be difficult to replicate. When you pair that with US-based manufacturing and strong unit economics, Lucid is poised to become a defining leader in the next generation of industrial automation.”

Lister Delgado, Managing Partner at Idea Fund Partners

“The Lucid Sherpa drone has elevated our business to new heights opening doors and differentiating ourselves from the competition. We wouldn’t be where we are today without adding the Lucid Sherpa to our business.”
