Lucio: $5 Million Raised For Expanding AI-Native Legal Workspace Globally

By Amit Chowdhry • Oct 16, 2025

Lucio, a Bengaluru-based AI-native legal workspace platform built by lawyers for lawyers, announced it had raised $5 million in funding earlier this year to expand globally and deepen its product capabilities. The round was led by DeVC alongside high-net-worth investors Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, underscoring growing confidence in Lucio’s mission to transform the way legal professionals work with AI.

Already adopted by over 200 organizations across nine jurisdictions, Lucio supports more than 3,000 lawyers in enterprise law firms, in-house legal teams, and boutique practices. The platform is used for a wide range of tasks, including drafting, document review, due diligence, legal research, and translation—saving lawyers an average of 30 hours per month. Its rapid adoption has been driven by its personalization, domain-specific reasoning, and ability to integrate seamlessly into existing legal workflows.

The $5 million investment will be used to achieve two primary goals: expanding Lucio’s product suite to embed legal AI directly into every platform where lawyers work, and enhancing its personalization capabilities to provide localized, practice-specific AI experiences for legal professionals worldwide.

Lucio’s founders envision a future where AI is not merely an add-on tool but a core part of legal workflows, designed to empower lawyers without disrupting their daily processes. By emphasizing adoption-first design and natural integration, Lucio aims to bridge the gap between technology and real-world legal practice—a challenge that has plagued many previous legal tech initiatives.

As the company continues its growth trajectory, Lucio is preparing for its next fundraising round to scale its product capabilities and go-to-market initiatives further, building on strong traction from both private practitioners and corporate legal departments.
