Lumine Group announced that it has acquired Imagine Communications through one of its subsidiaries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Lumine Group is a global buy-and-hold acquirer of communications and media software businesses. The acquisition deepens the company’s presence across the media supply chain.
Imagine Communications is headquartered in the U.S. and provides video connectivity solutions, channel origination software and hardware, and AI-enabled advertising management and monetization solutions. The company serves broadcasters, sports networks, cable operators, and streaming providers.
Lumine said Imagine Communications is an important addition to its growing media ecosystem. The acquisition adds channel origination capabilities to Lumine’s video processing portfolio and expands TV monetization capabilities through products including Landmark Sales, Imagine’s AI-enabled advertising product.
Consistent with Lumine’s decentralized operating model, Imagine Communications will continue operating as an independent business. Lumine said its buy-and-hold ownership approach will provide Imagine with stability as it continues to build on its industry expertise.
Imagine Communications is one of the longest-established vendors in the broadcast technology industry. Its software and infrastructure help customers create, manage, distribute, and monetize video content across traditional TV and streaming platforms.
