Lunar Outpost announced the closing of a $30 million oversubscribed Series B financing round led by Industrious Ventures, with participation from Type One Ventures, Eniac Ventures, Promus Ventures, Reliable Equity, and other investors.
The company said the funding will accelerate production and deployment of its robotic mobility systems and in-space infrastructure platforms designed to support permanent human operations beyond Earth.
Founded in Golden, Colorado, Lunar Outpost develops autonomous robotic systems, lunar mobility platforms, and infrastructure technologies for lunar, cislunar, and planetary missions.
The company said it plans to use the new capital to scale deployment of industrial robotic systems required for long-term lunar infrastructure and broader space economy operations.
Lunar Outpost stated that it has doubled revenue annually over the past four years, operated what it described as the first commercial rover on the Moon, and secured eight fully contracted lunar and cislunar missions.
The company said it currently has more rover missions headed to the Moon than all other commercial companies combined.
As part of its expansion efforts, Lunar Outpost is continuing to invest in its Starweave autonomous swarm software platform and Stargate Command, Control, and Communications platform designed for autonomous space operations.
The company said its long-term infrastructure vision includes deployment of power systems, communications infrastructure, habitats, and launch and landing facilities enabled by AI-powered robotics and automation systems.
Lunar Outpost also highlighted partnerships with General Motors, Goodyear, Leidos, LEGO, and adidas/Juventus as part of its commercial and technical ecosystem.
The company participates in NASA’s Lunar Terrain Vehicle program and broader Artemis-related lunar exploration initiatives.
