LX Pantos, a global logistics provider headquartered in South Korea, has acquired a newly built logistics complex in Katowice, Poland, in a transaction valued at approximately $148 million, marking a significant step in its European expansion strategy.

The acquisition was completed through a consortium that includes the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation and the PIS No. 2 Fund, a policy fund under Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The Katowice Logistics Center spans five buildings totaling 109,000 square meters and is being developed in phases, with full completion expected in the first half of 2026. Several global and local companies have already secured leases at the site.

The facility is expected to serve as a key logistics hub in Eastern Europe, supporting industries such as automotive parts, consumer goods, and home appliances. LX Pantos also anticipates that the center could play a role in meeting future logistics demand tied to reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.

The Poland investment is part of a broader global expansion strategy. In the United States, LX Pantos established Boxlinks LLC through a joint venture with Ocean Network Express and acquired a large-scale logistics center in Georgia to strengthen its intermodal capabilities. In Northeast Asia, the company formed FutureLinks with Sinotrans to expand multimodal transport between China and Korea, targeting the growing sea and air cargo market driven by e-commerce.

Founded in 1977, LX Pantos operates across more than 40 countries and maintains over 380 global networks, offering integrated logistics solutions across sea, air, rail, and contract logistics.
