Macnica ATD Europe, the European division of global semiconductor distributor Macnica Holdings, has acquired Indesmatech, a pan-European technology and advisory company specializing in advanced semiconductor representation, design-in support, consulting, and point-of-sale buying services. The acquisition strengthens Macnica ATD Europe’s commercial and engineering presence across Scandinavia and Northern Europe, adding established regional relationships and in-house engineering capabilities to its existing footprint in the region.
Indesmatech, co-founded by Soren Manicus and Rune Domsten in 2014 and headquartered in Herlev, Denmark, brings coverage across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the UK, and Poland, as well as partner cooperation in Germany. Its business focus areas include IoT, communications and power, embedded computing, memory and ASIC, and audio and sensing applications, complementing Macnica ATD Europe’s existing portfolio across technology-driven markets.
Central to the acquisition rationale is Indesmatech’s “REP 2.0” model, which combines marketing, design support, production and supply chain management, direct pricing, and project CTO support. The model aligns with Macnica ATD Europe’s strategy to engage earlier in the customer design cycle, supporting customers from chip-level technology selection through system-level implementation. Macnica ATD Europe takes an architecture-driven solutions approach that goes beyond individual component supply to deliver end-to-end system solutions.
By combining Macnica ATD Europe’s supplier portfolio, technical resources, and European organization with Indesmatech’s capabilities and regional network, the combined company expects to strengthen pipeline creation, increase early-stage customer engagement, and improve conversion of design opportunities into commercial wins. Both Manicus and Domsten will continue forward with Macnica ATD Europe following the close of the transaction.
