Main Capital Partners Acquires Majority Stake In Raynet

Main Capital Partners acquired a majority stake in Raynet, a German provider of IT visibility, IT Asset Management, and cybersecurity software, from PINOVA Capital.

The transaction gives Main a position in a software market supported by growing enterprise demand for greater visibility, control, and security across increasingly complex IT environments.

Headquartered in Paderborn, Germany, Raynet helps large enterprises discover, manage, and protect their technology infrastructure.

The company’s AI-enabled Raynet One platform combines IT discovery capabilities with Raynet’s proprietary Technology Catalog to consolidate fragmented technology data into a centralized source of truth for IT management and cybersecurity.

Raynet employs approximately 170 professionals and has an established position across the DACH region, broader European operations, and a growing presence in North America.

The company serves customers across multiple industries through a combination of direct sales and channel partners.

Main said rising IT complexity, growing cybersecurity threats, regulatory pressure, and the increasing importance of high-quality technology data for AI applications are creating stronger demand for enterprise IT visibility and asset management.

Raynet’s platform brings together IT visibility, asset management, and security capabilities designed to help organizations understand, secure, optimize, and manage complex IT environments.

Following the transaction, Raynet and Main plan to accelerate the company’s international expansion, deepen strategic partnerships, and continue developing its product portfolio.

The growth strategy will also include expansion into adjacent data management and security capabilities.

Main and Raynet also intend to pursue a targeted international buy-and-build strategy to complement organic growth initiatives.

Raynet has been operating since 1999 and has locations in Germany, the U.S., Poland, Turkey, and the U.K.

Its broader product strategy is centered on what the company describes as True IT Asset Visibility, providing organizations with a reliable source of information across their IT assets.

PINOVA Capital said that over the past five years, Raynet has developed into a software vendor with an international footprint and established a stronger foundation for growth through the launch and continued development of Raynet One.
