Makersite, a leading AI startup in Germany focused on product lifecycle intelligence, has raised €60 million ($70.2 million USD) in a Series B funding round. This funding will help the company assist manufacturers in creating more affordable, safer, and sustainable products through intelligent automation and supply chain insights.
Co-led by Lightrock and Partech, with contributions from SE Ventures and previous investors like Hitachi Ventures and KOMPAS VC, this funding increases Makersite’s total capital to €85 million ($99.5 million).
Makersite’s cloud-based platform streamlines modern manufacturing by integrating and refining product data. By generating “digital twins,” it enables manufacturers to make informed, real-time decisions based on data, reducing carbon emissions and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Clients include Microsoft, which cut the carbon footprint of its Surface Pro 10 laptop by 28%, and Schneider Electric, which plans to implement eco-design for over 200,000 SKUs. The new funding will accelerate platform development and expand the team to meet rising demand.
