Mapmygenome Acquires dnaPower To Expand Precision Health And Genomics Platform Across North America

Mapmygenome has completed its acquisition of Vancouver-based dnaPower, expanding its North American operations and adding capabilities across DNA testing, microbiome health, longevity, pharmacogenetics, and AI-driven multi-omics testing.

The transaction brings dnaPower together with Mapmygenome’s broader genomics platform and clinical laboratory infrastructure, including Vancouver-based Microbiome Insights, which Mapmygenome acquired in 2025.

Mapmygenome said the combination creates a centralized North American platform supporting DNA, microbiome, pharmacogenetic, and longevity testing for preventive and precision healthcare across Canada and the U.S.

Founded in 2008, dnaPower provides DNA-based health, nutrition, fitness, methylation, and longevity insights for consumers and healthcare practitioners. The acquisition gives dnaPower access to Mapmygenome’s laboratory infrastructure, technology stack, research and development capabilities, and international commercial platform.

Mapmygenome plans to integrate dnaPower’s consumer reach with its own multi-omics analytics and clinical testing capabilities. The companies expect the combination to support new offerings spanning healthy aging, gut microbiome profiling, epigenetic assessment, and personalized health insights.

The combined testing portfolio will include whole-genome and exome sequencing, pharmacogenetics, DNA wellness panels, methylation testing, clinical bioinformatics, shotgun metagenomic sequencing, gut microbiome analysis, biological age panels, and longevity-focused assessments.

Mapmygenome also plans to establish a centralized processing hub in Vancouver operating under CAP-accredited and ISO-certified protocols.

The acquisition strengthens Mapmygenome’s presence in North America while expanding the range of tests and analytics available through its precision health platform. The company is positioning AI-driven multi-omics as a way to combine genomic, microbiome, and other biological data into more actionable health insights.

Microbiome Insights will also play a role in the expanded platform by contributing microbiome sequencing, analytics, and bioinformatics capabilities.

Mapmygenome said the broader objective is to build a more integrated preventive health infrastructure capable of serving both individual consumers and healthcare providers across multiple testing categories from a centralized North American operation.
